Both sesame and coconut oils are universally suitable for all constitutional types, forming the foundation for all Santulan massage oils. The meticulous preparation of the base ingredients, the sequence in which they are introduced, and the duration of the cooking process are all crucial and meticulously detailed in the ancient Ayurvedic scriptures. During each stage of production, the oil undergoes a process where it is simmered with four to eight times its volume of decoction until the initial quantity of oil is regained. This process is referred to as ‘sanskar’ (cultivation) of the oil.
